New Chief Executive for Bible Society
Dec 18, 2009
Francis Burdett has been appointed Chief Executive of Bible Society New Zealand. His appointment was announced last week by the chairman of the Bible Society Board, David Harrison.
Mr Burdett succeeds Rev Mark Brown who is returning to Australia to complete his business doctorate while undertaking consultancy work for Bible Society’s global board.
Mr Burdett has extensive international corporate management experience and he has also spent three years on Christian mission service in Brazil. As well, he has been active as a Bible teacher and church leader.
“I feel privileged being appointed to this position and I’m looking forward to working with the team at Bible Society and also with others in the Christian community in fulfilling Bible Society’s vision and mission,” said Mr Burdett.
He will take over from Mark Brown in March next year.
