New Plymouth Coffee Morning
Apr 26, 2010
Monday 19 April saw 35 people gather at the newest Cathedral in the world, the Taranaki Cathedral - Church of St. Mary. They came to hear from Jamie Allen, the first Dean of the Cathedral.
After a lovely morning tea Archdeacon Ray Taylor greeted those attending and lead us in singing, 'To God be the Glory'.
Jamie then shared his faith journey and how the Lord had lead him to Taranaki from England to be the first Dean of the Cathedral. He also shared that he was a supporter of Bible Society in England and that he’ll continue to support Bible Society here in New Zealand. It was great for people of many churches to be able to meet Jamie over a cup of coffee or tea and hear him speak about his life of faith.
An offering was taken to help provide a new Bible delivery van for the Pakistan Bible Society.
This Coffee Morning was put on by Bible Society's New Plymouth Action Group.
Thanks to Ray, Jamie and the Action Group members for putting this event on.
