Richmond Action Group Rides the Rainbow
Mar 19, 2010
Members of the Richmond Action Group and supporters tackled the Rainbow Ride on Saturday 27 February to raise funds for Bible work in Vietnam.
The ride, which begins near St Arnaud in Nelson Lakes National Park, takes riders 106 kilometers over New Zealand’s highest public road and finishes in the Canterbury town of Hanmer. The unsealed road, stream crossings, arduous climbs and fast descents all add to the challenge.
Twenty riders participated, most completing the full distance. Riders either made donations or raised sponsorship to support the printing and distribution of Bibles in Vietnam, where exciting opportunities are opening up for Bible Society work.
