What we do

Traditionally the Bible Society in New Zealand has focused on the distribution of Bibles and Scriptures within New Zealand and around the world. Today we have shifted our focus to a wider approach as we realise that distribution is only part of our mission.

We seek to not only provide Bibles, but also stimulate and facilitate a transformative encounter with the Bible. We do this through support of translation projects; distribution of Bibles and Scriptures; publishing a variety of Bibles, Scriptures and other resources; and encouraging transformative engagement with the Bible in New Zealand and worldwide.

Translation

Many of us take for granted that we have a Bible in our own language, or even that we have a Bible at all. For millions of people around the world, who are not as privileged as we are, having access to the Word of God is just a dream. Find out about our translation projects

Publishing

We publish a wide variety of non-denominational Scriptures and resources for a wide variety of audiences. Find out more about what we publish

Distribution

Our aim is to promote the distribution of Christian Scriptures in appropriate formats in New Zealand and overseas without doctrinal note and comment. Find out more about our disribution
