The Society raises funds in New Zealand for Bible work here in New Zealand and throughout the world, with a focus on translating, publishing, distributing and encouraging transformative engagement in New Zealand and worldwide.
We aim to serve the whole Christian community, indeed all those who can be persuaded to accept and engage with the Bible, by working closely with churches and the community to serve all denominations.
The Bible Society was established in New Zealand in 1846 and is a member of the United Bible Societies (UBS), a fellowship of 146 Bible Societies throughout the world which co-operate to make the Word of God available to people everywhere in a language they can understand and at a price they can afford.
We are a donor supported non profit society who receive no Government funding and depend on the prayers and financial support of Christian individuals and churches.
