Retail Store Assistant Manager – Manna Manukau Store

 

Manna Christian Stores is New Zealand’s premier supplier of Bibles and Christian resources, providing Bibles, Christian books, digital resources and gifts through its web store, fourteen street front stores and its business-to-business operation. Manna Christian Stores is a part of Bible Society New Zealand – New Zealand’s largest and longest serving Bible mission organisation.

Manna has a full time role for an Assistant Retail Store Manager at the Manukau Store. Your role will be to help the Manager to run the branch, to model service excellence to the team, and to carry out responsibilities delegated by the Manager. You will also need to deputise for the Manager from time to time.

To be right for this role you will:

  • Be passionate about Christian bookselling and want to see people grow in their faith
  • Have worked in retail and got the ‘retail bug’

Retail Shop Manager – Nelson

 

Manna Christian Stores is New Zealand’s premier supplier of Bibles and Christian resources, providing Bibles, Christian books, digital resources and gifts through its web store, fourteen street front stores and its business-to-business operation. Manna Christian Stores is a part of Bible Society New Zealand – New Zealand’s largest and longest serving Bible mission organisation.

We are now looking to appoint a new member to our team. As Retail Shop Manager, you will be responsible for managing the branch and serving the Nelson community, as well as lead, coordinate, train and motivate a team of nine staff and volunteers . This is a paid part time, 25 hours per week position.

Key responsibilities for the role are:

  • Providing great service to the Nelson community.
  • Leading, rostering, coordinating and motivating the volunteer team.
  • Engaging customers and the Christian community.
  • Growing sales and meeting budgets.

Key requirements are:

  • An ability to get to know customers and let them feel welcome and valued.
  • A love for books and reading and a good knowledge of the types of Bibles, Christian books and other resources.
  • Experience working in retail, handling cash and sales and managing inventory.
  • A love for people and a desire to see them grow in their faith.

Warehouse Assistant

Do you belong on the Manna team, changing lives for good through quality Christian resources?

Manna Christian Stores has a position for a fulltime Warehouse Assistant to work in our central Manukau distribution centre. Your role will be to help ensure that our Bibles, books and other items are accurately shelved, and that orders are carefully picked, packed and sent to our stores and other customers.

To be right for this role you will –

  • Be able to accurately store inwards goods and to pick or pack orders for dispatch
  • Be willing to work hard and be a team player
  • Have reasonable numeracy skills
  • Be physically fit and able to lift up to 20kg’s safely
  • Be able to work accurately and attend to detail
