Chief Executive Officer

Do you have a passion to make the Bible accessible to people all around Aotearoa/New Zealand (and the world) and to encourage people to interact with it?  Do you have valuable experience leading organisations – made up of vision driven staff, volunteers and a wide community of stakeholders? Do you want to encourage and continue to build a team that will be creative and innovative, to extend the mission of Bible Society in the dynamic context of Aotearoa/New Zealand and beyond?

For 170 years, Bible Society New Zealand has been driven by one conviction: the belief that when people engage with the Bible, lives can change – for good. We believe that the contextual analysis demonstrates the need for this mission now more than ever before. We are centrally located in Wellington, but also have an office in Auckland, and have initiatives around New Zealand and internationally. We have recently added Manna Christian Stores to our organisation to enable an extension of our mission.

We are looking for a person who has:

  • Strong team leadership and collaborative skills
  • Significant acumen for financial, strategic, and stakeholder development
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Demonstrated a high commitment to the society’s vision and values in their own life and practice.
