Receipting and Database Coordinator

Bible Society is New Zealand’s premier supplier of Bibles and Christian resources through its Bible engagement programmes and its Manna Christian Stores chain. Bible Society also partners with donors to support Bible mission in New Zealand and around the world.

We value our donors and are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and relational person to be our receipting and constituent database champion! The role is part finance, part data administration, part customer service, and a whole lot of loving what Bible Society and our supporters love – the Bible and its work in the world.

To be right for the role you will:

  • Be able to process correspondence and have experience in a receipting role.
  • Have some Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system experience and be confident in using Excel.
  • Experience in using Raisers Edge CRM will be an advantage but not essential.
  • Demonstrate accuracy and efficiency – having good attention to detail.
  • Have excellent customer service skills.
  • Be well organised and able to prioritise and manage a varied workload.
  • Have excellent communication skills – the ability to communicate with people at all levels.
  • Be interested in what is happening in the world, and particularly in the Christian church and Christian mission.
  • Show enthusiasm – about the fact the Bible Society has been helping change lives for good for 175 years!

Part-time Sales Assistant Position – Henderson Store

Manna Christian Stores is New Zealand’s premier supplier of Bibles and Christian resources, providing Bibles, Christian books, digital resources and gifts through its web store, fourteen street front stores and its business-to-business operation.  Manna Christian Stores is a part of Bible Society New Zealand – New Zealand’s largest and longest serving Bible mission organisation.

We are now looking to appoint a new member to our team.  As a Sales Assistant, your role will be to help our customers find and buy the right resources for them from among our amazing range of Bibles, books, digital media and gifts.

This is a paid part-time, 5.5 hours per week position.  You will need to be able to work from 10am to 4pm each Saturday. Additional hours may be available from time to time.

To be right for this role you will:

  • Be comfortable engaging with customers and helping them with their purchases
  • Like Christian books and have some understanding of what our customers want
  • Have retail experience
  • Be able to operate (or learn how to operate) a point of sale system
  • Enjoy working with a great team of likeminded people making a difference in the world

Additional training will be available if required.  Most of all you need to be enthusiastic about what inspires us, which is equipping Christians with resources to help them grow in their faith and service!

Part-time Sales Assistant Position – Mt Roskill Store

Manna Christian Stores is New Zealand’s premier supplier of Bibles and Christian resources, providing Bibles, Christian books, digital resources and gifts through its web store, fourteen street front stores and its business-to-business operation.  Manna Christian Stores is a part of Bible Society New Zealand – New Zealand’s largest and longest serving Bible mission organisation.

We are now looking to appoint a new member to our team.  As a Sales Assistant, your role will be to help our customers find and buy the right resources for them from among our amazing range of Bibles, books, digital media and gifts.

This is a paid part-time, 24 hours per week position.  You will need to be able to work each Monday to Saturday from 10am to 2pm (days/hours might be negotiable). Additional hours may be available from time to time.

To be right for this role you will:

  • Be comfortable engaging with customers and helping them with their purchases
  • Like Christian books and have some understanding of what our customers want
  • Have retail experience
  • Be able to operate (or learn how to operate) a point of sale system
  • Enjoy working with a great team of likeminded people making a difference in the world

Additional training will be available if required.  Most of all you need to be enthusiastic about what inspires us, which is equipping Christians with resources to help them grow in their faith and service!

This is a paid part-time, 5 hours per week position.  You will need to be able to work from 11am to 4pm each Saturday. Additional hours may be available from time to time.

To be right for this role you will:

  • Be comfortable engaging with customers and helping them with their purchases
  • Like Christian books and have some understanding of what our customers want
  • Perhaps have retail experience, but we can also give you training
  • Be able to operate (or learn how to operate) a point of sale system
  • Enjoy working with a great team of likeminded people making a difference in the world

Additional training will be available if required.  Most of all you need to be enthusiastic about what inspires us, which is equipping Christians with resources to help them grow in their faith and service!
