THE CAUSE
Around the world, many Bible Societies operate under challenging conditions, particularly in regions like North Africa and the Middle East.
Our focus is on three such Bible Societies: The Bible Society in Iraq, the Bible Society of Morocco, and the Bible Society in Turkey.
These Bible Societies are beacons of hope for the small and often persecuted Christian communities in their countries. Their dedicated work in providing Scriptures, supporting churches, and offering holistic aid and trauma healing is invaluable.
However, they face enormous challenges, including financial instability and societal hostility. If these Bible Societies were to close, it would be nearly impossible for them to re-establish themselves.

THE IMPACT

- The Bible Societies in Iraq, Morocco, and Turkey to continue their mission, sustain their operations, and help nourish the faith of Christians in these difficult environments.
Hoda, a widow for three years, lost her husband to cancer and was left to care for her three children alone: two daughters (12 and 7) and a son (10). Both Hoda’s family and her husband’s family are poor, and tensions arose between them.
Working tirelessly as a house cleaner, Hoda barely has time to see her children and has been away from her Church for a while. In March 2024, she heard that the Bible Society in Iraq was distributing food packages. She visited the Church and received a bag of food. Upon learning her story, the Bible Society provided her with additional food and kitchen supplies.
One of Bible Society’s female volunteers began visiting Hoda, reading the Bible to her and her family, and sharing God’s love. Hoda and her children started attending church regularly, and the children joined Sunday School. Through this support, Hoda’s heart was transformed as she felt the power of prayer and the care from the community.
During a testimony, Hoda shared, “I thought that God had turned away from us, but now, I have discovered God’s love for us. Thank you all and the Bible Society for taking care of us. I feel secure now.”
