Support Bible Translation Projects
Support Bible translation projects to help bring the Word of God to people who have never heard it before in their own heart language.
In some parts of the world, the Bible is difficult to access or is simply unavailable. In New Zealand, the Bible is readily available but many people are unaware of its value.
We work in New Zealand and in partnership with over 150 Bible Societies around the world to help to break the cycle of Bible poverty, encourage Bible engagement and increase Bible literacy for people in many different contexts.
All our efforts are driven by one conviction: we believe that when people engage with the Bible, lives can change – for good.
Discover the latest Bible projects you can support below, so that together, we can help make the Bible accessible to everyone and encourage interaction with it! Alternatively, if you know the Bible mission you’d like to contribute to then please use this secure online donation form.
Any gift of $5 or more made to Bible Society is eligible for a tax credit.

Bible Societies are delivering programmes which seek to transform the lives of women and girls through the Word of God. Our focus is on the Bible Societies of Cameroon, Peru and India.
Around the world, many Bible Societies operate under challenging conditions, particularly in regions like North Africa and the Middle East. Our focus is on three such Bible Societies: The Bible Society in Iraq, the Bible Society of Morocco, and the Bible Society in Turkey.
In the Gulf States, Liberia, and Slovenia, Bible Societies are actively engaging migrant workers, new believers, and lay people with Scripture in meaningful ways. Through your support, we can help bring God’s Word to those who need it most.
Together with other Bible Societies, we are committed to reaching out to children experiencing extreme challenges like poverty and conflict in Syria, Lebanon, Uruguay, and South Africa with Bible-based programmes that can bring the light of Jesus Christ into their lives.
As the situation in Haiti continues to deteriorate, the Haiti Bible Society (HBS) has launched an urgent appeal to ensure their vital ministry remains operational, especially during these challenging times.
We’re on a mission to distribute Bibles to rural Christians in Laos and China, where the presence of God’s Word can truly transform lives.
We are partnering with churches, chaplaincies, and other organisations to bring the hope of the Bible to people across New Zealand.
Our teams on the ground in Israel and the Palestinian Territories are tirelessly delivering Scriptures, emergency aid, and trauma healing programmes to those in desperate need. Would you consider making a gift today to help fund this essential work?
Partner with us on this three-year project which will see all 66 books from Te Paipera Tapu, the Māori Bible, professionally recorded, mastered, and distributed.
Every $10 you give today will enable us to bring the life-saving power of the Scriptures to young people throughout New Zealand through our recent publication, Identity Identified.
Help Bible Society NZ to refurbish their office building in Wiri, Auckland.
I would like to help bring the Hope of the Bible to people around the world!
1.5 Billion people do not have access to the Bible in their own language – and for others, it is a sad reality that the Word of God is simply out of reach for them, either due to costs or simply because it is just not available. YOU can make a difference…

A new translation is a completely fresh translation into a language that already has Scripture. This is not based on an existing translation, but is a completely new translation, using source texts.
A revised translation updates a translation that already exists so the language is understandable to the community today.
A first translation is the first time that Scripture is made available in a language. For instance, a first Bible is the first time that language has received the full Bible. A first portion is sometimes the first time a language receives any Scripture at all, but it could also be the first time that it receives an additional portion of Scripture. For example, a language may already have the New Testament, but it then receives the Book of Ruth for the first time.
