Virus outbreak brings Christians nearer to God In China

In the face of adversity, such as the Covid-19 virus outbreak in China which is now a global health emergency, Chinese Christians find themselves drawing closer to God.

During this time of home quarantine for the health and safety of all citizens, the authorities forbid all collective gatherings, imposed extended holidays for schools and companies and travel restrictions. Some cities have stepped up precautionary measures by allowing only one or two household members to leave the house to buy daily essentials every other day or once in five days.

Questions will be based on Exodus, chapters 7 – 14 (Plagues and Passover)
and Acts, chapters 18:22 – 21:17 (Paul’s fourth missionary journey),
plus a set of general questions.

This is a fundraising event to help Bible Society distribute Bibles in Syria.

It’s Quiz time! Food + Fun = Fundraiser. This year we are going for a family-friendly format.

No prior study required, just bring your Bibles.

This event is organized by Bible Society’s Timaru Action Group to benefit Bible distribution projects in South East Asia.

Mystery Gift Auction Fundraiser

Everyone is invited to this fun-filled family event to help raise funds for Bibles. Join the bidding on various mystery gifts on offer. We also invite you to bring a wrapped gift or two to be auctioned. Please note that all gifts must be new.

Supper will be served after the auction.

Funds raised from this event will help Bible Society distribute Scripture portions to hospitals in India.
