TRANSFORM LIVES WITH Bibles in Heart Languages

TRANSFORM LIVES WITH Bibles in Heart Languages

THE CAUSE

Did you know that 1.2 billion people still don’t have access to the whole Bible in their heart language? And while over half of the world’s languages now have some Scripture, nearly 48% remain without any, and for Deaf communities, the gap is even greater.

To address this Bible Poverty, United Bible Society has set itself the target of translating 1,200 Bibles by 2038.  Our vision is to provide Scripture to over 610 million people, many of whom speak languages used by communities of fewer than 20,000 individuals.

With your support, together we can help bring the hope of the Gospel to people who have never experienced God’s Word in their own heart language.

From Tonga in the Pacific islands to the Birifor people of Burkina Faso, and for millions of Deaf people around the world, your support empowers translators to continue bringing God’s Word to life in written, audio, and Sign Language versions.

Simply use the secure online donation form or internet banking to make your gift to help support these Bible translation projects – Just $25 helps translate a verse from the Bible.

THE IMPACT

The Bible Translation projects your gift will help support:

📖 Support Sign Language Bible projects and help Deaf communities see the Word of God for the very first time.

📖 Bring a full Bible to more than 250,000 Birifor speakers in southwestern Burkina Faso so they can read Scripture in their own heart language.

📖 Support the translation and distribution of Scripture in Tongan, strengthening families and guiding communities through God’s Word.

A Bible For Tokelau - A Time to celebrate

After 26 years of prayer, perseverance, and partnership, the first-ever complete Tokelauan Bible was launched on Fakaofo Atoll in late October, a day filled with joy, song, and thanksgiving.

For the 1,500 people living across Tokelau’s three remote coral atolls, this moment was life changing. For the first time, they can now read the full Bible in their own heart language.

This incredible milestone was only possible because of our faithful supporters, people who believe that everyone, everywhere, should have access to God’s Word in the language they understand best.

During the launch, we presented Alapati Tavite, the Tokelauan Minister for Health and Finance, with his own Tokelauan Bible. He shared in the video above how he believes this new translation will transform lives—strengthening families, enriching community life, and helping preserve the Tokelauan language for generations to come.

When you give today, you’re helping bring God’s Word to more people, so that, just like the precious people of Tokelau, they too can read and hear the Bible in their own heart language.
